The sounds of sopranos, altos, tenors, baritones, a piano and cheers filled Founders Auditorium on Nov. 16 when the music department held the second student recital of the semester.
Wearing a black tuxedo with a red boutonniere pinned to his lapel, a tall presence took center stage. His accompanying pianist lightly stroked the piano keys to introduce the first song.
Dancers, food, and informational booths lined the University of La Verne’s quad as students gathered from 11:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Latino Festival to celebrate the independence of Latino countries.
