In the only five-game match they have been forced to play all season, the University of La Verne men's volleyball team battled in the Supertents against Harvard last Friday night, eventually defeating the Crimson, 30-28, 39-37, 29-31, 25-30 and 18-16.
After receiving the disappointing news that it would not be going to Nationals this year, the No. 1 ranked University of La Verne men's volleyball team just did not have enough enthusiasm to beat Stanford on Tuesday night, losing 30-23, 30-16 and 30-15.
The University of La Verne men's volleyball team once again dominated its opponents, this time with two very convincing victories inside the Supertents.
Striving to gain a berth in the Molten Division III National Championships in April, La Verne upset every team that came to play in the ASICS tournament last weekend, including No. 1 ranked New York University, to improve their overall record to 7-10 and move into the No. 1 slot in Division III.
In what may prove to be an indication of the rematch scheduled for this weekend's ASICS tournament, the University of La Verne men's volleyball team easily defeated Dominican University in straight sets on Wednesday night, 30-16, 30-21 and 30-19.
