Once again, the end of the year is upon us and pretty soon we'll be inundated with list after list of nominees for every award show imaginable. Forget the Oscars, the Grammys or any of the MTV awards, here's my list of nominees for 1996, based on my opinion, not any type of charts or polls.

If there's one person who's sick and tired of being compared to the legendary Bob Dylan, it's probably his youngest son, Jakob. And though his storyteller song writing, raspy voice, clear blue eyes and dark, tousled locks do bear him a striking resemblance to his father, Jakob Dylan is one artist who deserves to be regarded for his own merit.
