This year’s interfaith Thanksgiving chapel service held Nov. 17 gave Associate Pofessor of Religion and Philosophy Richard Rose and Learning Enhancement Services Coordinator Steve Kinzie an opportunity to share their experiences in the fourth annual interfaith conference in Amritsar, India, held Nov. 1 to 7.

While most of the school cheered on the football team at the Homecoming game, students, faculty, staff and alumni gathered to perform and view excerpts of their most recent work.

After three long years of careful planning, several months of casting and intense rehearsals, audience members were able to witness James Darrah’s visions take shape on stage during the production of his senior thesis, “The Trojan Women.” The production was presented to an overwhelming turnout in the University of La Verne’s Cabaret Theatre last weekend.

Variety proved to be the overall theme at the 2005 University of La Verne Directing Studio One Act Festival. Student and faculty directors, designers and actors participated in the plays, which ranged from physical comedy to intense drama, as well as everything in between.

Two of the University of La Verne’s talented seniors performed their theses in a double feature showcase March 31, April 1 and April 2 at the Cabaret Theatre.

On March 30, the University of La Verne was privileged to have the group, the Five Lesbian Brothers, perform and lecture in the Cabaret Theatre during the Engendering Diversity and Community Conference.
