The La Verne baseball team plans to put its past behind it and hopes to be in the running for another Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship during their upcoming 2015 season.

Despite many chances, the Leopards could not overcome a four-run eighth inning by the Redlands Bulldogs, falling 7-6 on Saturday at Ben Hines Field in the most important game of the season for both teams.

Senior pitcher Mark Larini did now allow a rainy afternoon to affect his performance as he pitched an outstanding two-hit complete game shutout against Whittier last Friday at Ben Hines Field.

La Verne baseball looks to take back SCIAC
