University honors International Women’s Day

The Office of International Services and Engagement and the Center for Multicultural Services collaborated to create a small event to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 7 in the Johnson Family Plaza.

University honors First-Gen Day

Students gathered Wednesday to celebrate National First-Generation Day. First-generation students, who make up over 40% of the University of La Verne’s student body, are those whose parents or guardians did not complete a four-year college degree.

University grapples with aftermath of apparent hate crimes

In response to last week's apparent hate crimes –  a racist threat on social media directed at a specific group of students, followed by arson in a student's car – several students rallied in Johnson Family Plaza to condemn these actions, while faculty discussed the appropriate response at the Faculty Senate meeting Monday.
