Emeritus Professor of Communications Don Pollock, who headed the broadcasting program in the department of communications for almost 30 years, died on March 24 at the age of 71.

Jonathan Reed, professor of religion, discussed the importance of relationships during this month’s “What Matters to Me and Why” lecture series Nov. 14 in the Ludwick Center Sacred Space before roughly 50 community members.

Dan Campana, professor of philosophy and religion, discussed his book “The Faith of Emerson,” which is about Ralph Waldo Emerson’s views of faith and American individualism, on April 11 in the Quay Davis Executive Board Room before an audience of about 20.

The La Verne Academy hosted its first lecture series of the semester, “Building and Maintaining a Successful Research Agenda: Ideas and Pitfalls,” Tuesday via Zoom.
