Megan Peralez, 2017 graduate in photography, senior physics major Justine Alandy-dy and senior sociology major Mung Kay “Karen” Shum won first place Dean’s Awards in Arts and Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences categories, respectively, at the seventh annual College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Awards ceremony, honoring top senior projects, Wednesday in the Harris Gallery.

With the stress that the end of year brings, many took the opportunity to relax and enjoy music from different eras at “Through the Decades,” the first music festival at the University from 10 p.m. to midnight Wednesday on the Lawn.

The Japan Daisuki club is creating an environment to make international students feel welcomed while also striving to break Japanese stereotypes. The club wants to make the Japanese culture accessible to the University of La Verne by holding events that share Japanese customs.
