The University of La Verne’s track and field teams made their mark at the Oxy Invite on May 10, placing in the top of the men’s preliminaries for the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash and placing second in the women’s javelin throw finals.

The University of La Verne track and field teams placed second and fourth, respectively in the Bottom Four meet at Caltech’s Fox Stanton Track and Field on March 15.

Freshman Lance Powell completed his first steeplechase and placed in fifth with a time of 7:03 last Saturday.

The men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships in La Mirada last Saturday.

At the recent UC Riverside Invitational, several University of La Verne cross country athletes placed in the 27th annual event.
