The La Verne softball team fell short in its third straight NCAA Regionals appearance on Friday after being shutout, 1-0, in the first game by Louisiana College and losing in eight innings to Texas-Tyler, 11-8, in the second game.
Saturday was a memorable day for the La Verne softball team, as it wrapped up the regular season with a two game sweep of the Occidental Tigers, 12-3 in game one and 4-2 in game two, earning a trip to the post-season tournament.

The Leopards softball team completed another successful season finishing second in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with an overall record of 29-17 and earning their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Western Regional Tournament.
