Love, devotion and deception with the accompaniment of powerful music and strong acting in the two-person musical titled “The Last Five Years” brought students, faculty and other theatergoers to a standing ovation April 21, 22 and 23 in Founders Auditorium.
The University of La Verne Jazz Ensemble treated the campus to a great performance on Tuesday. The concert was arranged by J. Michael O’Neal, the Jazz Ensemble director and lead on the keyboard.
Founders Auditorium was quickly lit up on Monday as University of La Verne senior Kendell Smith and his four band members, performed his senior recital.
Those in Founders Auditorium on April 16 at 8 p.m. witnessed a tribute to a man who made his mark on the history of American music during the 20th century, when “The Music of Cole Porter” was introduced by University of La Verne music professor Reed Gratz.
A historic-international flair filled Founders Auditorium on Tuesday, as the Student Chamber Music Recital performed in a classical concert as a final project of their class.
