Parking issues are not new to the University of La Verne, but residents should be the last ones to feel the effects of the reduced spots and parking changes made through the fall semester.
Approximately 60 faculty, administrators and students from the University, members of Bomel Construction and representatives of the City of La Verne City Council attended the new parking structure groundbreaking ceremony on Oct. 8 in the area formally known as Lot D.
When students came back to school at the end of August, it was clear this year would not be the same. Many Vista La Verne residents have been jolted awake at 7 a.m. by the demolition for the parking structure starting this past week, only to be kept awake by the dawning realization that it is only going to get worse.
