Throughout the month of February and into March, the University of La Verne’s diverse campus is celebrating Black History Month.

Saab’s life is honored at memorial

Nearly 200 University of La Verne students, faculty and staff gathered in Sneaky Park Friday for a memorial service to pay tribute to international student Mazen Walid Saab. The 18 year-old was killed in an auto accident Sept. 9, which also injured three other students, Dro Hovanessian, Michelle Baccus and Ian Thornburn.

Goines maintains jovial atmosphere

"HELLO!" is the standard greeting Roy Goines, adjunct professor of business, emphasizes to state the obvious to his students so that they recognize the importance of how business affects everyone.

Celebration honors faculty, staff commitments

A total of 77 people were awarded Wednesday morning for their services and commitment to the University of La Verne in 12 different categories.
