Seats in Founders Auditorium filled quickly on Wednesday, May 2, as people flocked to see the University of La Verne's chamber singers perform "Dido and Aeneas," an opera by Henry Purcell.
Tuition at the University of La Verne is $8,400 per semester. Room and board can range from $2,625-$2,850 a semester depending on the meal plan chosen. For additional money, students can turn toward the aid of scholarships.
The song says that, "People who need people are the luckiest people in the world." Although that might be true, some of the happiest people in the world are the ones who can honestly say that they have found their calling. They understand what they were made to do. They have the joy of having their work also be their passion.
It takes one to know one. That could be a theme for the University of La Verne's Music Department. The professors and students of the department have been releasing music on compact disc and cassette.
