Tommy Bailon, junior computer science major, smoked for nearly six years before he chose to make the transition from cigarettes to vaporizing devices, more commonly known as “vapes.”
A study done by professors at the University of Southern California revealed that electronic cigarette, or e-cigarettes, reduce the exposure of particular particles by tenfold in comparison to regular cigarettes.
“Rango,” the animated children’s film, has been sparking controversy even before it opened due to the amount of smoking in the movie and the effect it may have on children. Critics of the movie say that it influences children to take up smoking because the characters smoke excessively.
