Tommy Bailon, junior computer science major, smoked for nearly six years before he chose to make the transition from cigarettes to vaporizing devices, more commonly known as “vapes.”

A study done by professors at the University of Southern California revealed that electronic cigarette, or e-cigarettes, reduce the exposure of particular particles by tenfold in comparison to regular cigarettes.

Monday’s faculty lecture in the President’s Dining Room focused on the effects of smoke in contemporary art especially here in the Los Angeles area.
