Last week, Nov. 9, the Peace Studies Department used University resources to publish an announcement of a tent city to symbolize the plight of the Afghan refugees. In the same week, there was an article in the Campus Times about the debate club ["LV Lordsburg debate talks the talk"].

Hidden in the University of La Verne Chapel is a place unknown to most students: the Peace Loft.

A sensitive, carefree attitude is exhibited throughout all of his works and activities, with his belief that by having fun, individuals are at liberty to freely express their creativity. Steve Kinzie, instructor of English and peace studies, said he is a believer of this philosophy when pursuing any venture.

Musician, singer, composer and conductor are some of the attributes of Shawn Kirchner, an international musician who has joined the University of La Verne's Music Department.
