This has been a week of anxiety and nervousness for five members and coach of the University of La Verne women's swimming team, as they wait to find out whether or not they are going to Nationals next month or not.
Although the University of La Verne swim team held-and won-its first home meet last Saturday, the Leopards wanted to instead brag about their trees they planted to inaugurate the first home meet.
A phrase that will describe the University of La Verne men's and women's swimming teams all season will be: That was the first time the Leopards did (insert record/event here).
The smell of chlorine in the air. The sun glistening off the new pool. The sweetness of setting records. It almost makes one want to get their feet wet. These are all of what the University La Verne men's and women's swimming and diving teams experienced in last Saturday's meet at Cal State Northridge.
