The economy is in the midst of a recession, yet that did not prevent the ritual known as Black Friday from taking place last Friday, as consumers hit the retail outlets to take advantage of the annual day after Thanksgiving sales.

The Cabaret Theatre was filled with about 50 people Tuesday night to see the screening of “Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price,” a documentary which further exposes the negative attributes associated with Wal-Mart stores.

It looks as if Wal Mart has done it again. In yet another attempt to preserve their family-friendly image, the discount chain has decided to display a retaliation of wounded pride by refusing to sell Sheryl Crow's new self-titled CD because of a lyric indicating that Wal Mart sells guns to children.
