Seniors lead netters’ season

Usually a team with returning players is ideal, but not for the women’s tennis team. Women’s tennis is undergoing a transitional building phase with five returning senior players and one freshman. Head coach Wendy Zwissler is not expecting a championship from the women. Instead the team’s goal is to have fun, which may not be easy with a 1-7 record.

Strikers prevail in overtime against Redlands, 3-1

After 120 minutes, 59 shots on goal, and hardly enough daylight to see the ball, the University of La Verne women’s soccer team came off the field smiling Wednesday with a 3-1 victory over Redlands.

Kicking its way to the top with a total 48 shots, four goals and two assists in last Saturday’s game was enough for the ULV women’s soccer team to walk away with a win against the scoreless Redlands Bulldogs.
