The University of La Verne inducted eight former student-athletes, as well as the entire 1981 women’s volleyball national championship team, into the Athletics Hall of Fame at a ceremony Saturday at Sheraton Fairplex Hotel and Conference Center.

The University of La Verne men’s and women’s track teams competed in the Aztec Invitational at San Diego State on Saturday Mar. 19, while the long distance runners for the men competed at the Occidental Distance Classic in Eagle Rock, Mar. 18.
With the goal of nationals on their minds, individuals from the University of La Verne track and field team competed in the Occidental Invitational Saturday, in a last attempt to gain national berths.

A few members of La Verne’s track and field team made their way to UC Irvine this past weekend for the Steve Scott Track and Field Invitational.
The University of La Verne women’s track team grabbed the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference crown, while the men’s team showed a strong performance, taking second place in the conference.
