Living the Diversity Mission: Curriculum still lags in minority issues

In 2005, a minor in women’s, gender and sexuality studies was added to the University of La Verne’s academic catalog. University Chaplain Zandra Wagoner, who was the director of general education, was facilitator among a large committee of faculty members from several departments who were pushing for the program since discussion of a women’s studies major — and why this University didn’t have one — first began in 2003.

New women’s studies minor comes to ULV

Discussion of gender and sexuality will soon be more common as the University will kick off its women, gender and sexuality studies minor this fall.

Faculty approves women and gender studies

In fall 2006 University of La Verne students will likely have the opportunity to major or minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies thanks to the efforts of the WGSS committee, which gained approval for the program from the full faculty on May 9.
