The Academic Success Center and Wilson Library hosted an 1980s-themed game night Tuesday.
Students were able to play games like Monopoly and Uno with friends. Or they could play pool and relieve some of the stress of school, work or athletics. There was also a raffle, and participants were able to grab a slice of pizza.
Roughly 20 students attended.
“We are always so focused on school, work or working on campus that we need a reminder to have some basic fun,” Miranda Carrillo, senior psychology major, said. “We just need little breaks from the constant grind.”
This event proved to be just the break participants were looking for, with laughter and smiles throughout the night.
“It brings the students together and grants students the ability to learn more about the community,” Zaira Abril Salgado, junior criminology major, said. “I did not know anybody until I started coming to events.”
