Ceramics museum features eclectic exhibits

The exhibits “In Their Hands: The Evolution of Mata Ortiz Pottery,” “Hot and Ready to Serve,”  and “Making In Between: Indigenous Americans,” all currently on display at the American Museum of Ceramic Art in Pomona, range from utilitarian ceramics to sculptures that make a political statement. 

Chemistry professor was ahead of his time

Dr. Iraj Parchamazad, professor emeritus of chemistry at the University of La Verne, died on June 4 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was 86, and he had suffered from Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
