If improvement is what the University of La Verne football team is looking for this season, the Leopards can achieve their goal by the end of the third week.

As the end of the season is rapidly approaching, the University of La Verne baseball team looks to finish off on a positive note, losing one game against Masters College, three to Cal Lutheran and winning Wednesday against the University of California, San Diego.

It was a tremendous defeat and a terrible struggle, as the University of La Verne Leopards played a four-game tournament this past weekend and unfortunately landed in fourth place.

It is always exciting to hear about alumni from the University of La Verne who have gone on to "make it big."

After a disappointing defeat against Biola in its season opener, the Leopards baseball team rallied to defeat Pomona-Pitzer for a clean three game sweep last weekend to begin Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play at 3-0.
