In response to Ms. Araceli Esparza's article, ["Eldridge Cleaver recounts struggle," Nov. 21], I have one concern. On the front page of the newspaper, in the article, there appears a quote erroneously attributed to Mr. Cleaver. The quote appears to have been misconstrued from its original meaning.

Students chosen for service

As the summer months quickly approach, it is that time of the year for students to choose how they will spend their summer vacation. Fifteen University of La Verne students will participate in Summer Service, a volunteer opportunity for students to work at church camps, retirement centers and other places of need throughout California, Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
