On a cold misty Saturday morning dozens of people gathered in Sneaky Park for the University of La Verne’s Athletic Training Education Program’s 5K Fun Run.
Megan Granquist, assistant professor of movement and sports science, talks about her hectic cross-country education, her obsession with sports psychology and how she enjoys to play sports, but is not very good at them.
The gun went off on Saturday morning at Sneaky park and students, faculty and members of the community headed down D Street, for the 5k Community Fun Run, put on by the University’s athletic training education program.
Paul Alvarez has been an athletic trainer and professor at the University of La Verne for 24 years. He is currently the chairman of the Movement and Sports Science Department. He sat down to discuss his experience at the 2010 World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia, and his time at La Verne.
