Benjamin C. Harris, former chairman of the University of La Verne Board of Trustees, died on March 5 from Parkinson’s Disease. He was 87.
Harris’ legacy of generosity lives on
Barbara Ellen Harris, mother, teacher, donor and wife of Board of Trustees member Ben Harris, died last month from complications following a stroke. She was 90 years old.

LV Campus Center breaks ground
With the promise to reveal the new Sara and Michael Abraham Campus Center in 18 months, a bulldozer revved its engine and dug up a large piece of earth to ceremonially represent that construction on the new center had begun, on Saturday.
Campus Center project pushes for completion
The renovation of the Sports Science Athletic Pavilion is nearing completion with new bleachers and brighter lighting. Complementing the Pavilion, the Frank and Nadine Johnson Family Plaza was also recently completed with its tiered levels and new fountain.
Night games still out
Since the birth of the University of La Verne football program in 1921 night games have been almost non existent.
