By now, most people must be tired of hearing about all of the propositions on this year's ballot, but there is still one that needs some recognition.

California has 15 propositions on its Nov. 5 ballot. The issues range from campaign spending and affirmative action to the state's minimum wage and the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes. Below is each proposition and its definition.

With the presidential election a mere three weeks away, there are many important issues and propositions to be voted on which may change the normal runnings of California law. One of the simplest, cut-and-dried propositions on November's ballot is Proposition 210. This proposition, if passed, will raise the minimum wage in California from the embarrassing $4.25 an hour to an eventual $5.75 an hour.

Gov. Pete Wilson signed legislation last week making California the first state to require twice-convicted child molesters to be chemically castrated.

Due to the increase in the live broadcasts of law enforcement emergencies, the California State Sheriffs Association has sponsored Assembly Bill 2132, currently under consideration in the state legislature.

Despite a last ditch effort for Governor Pete Wilson to grant clemency on Tuesday, William G. Bonin was executed by lethal injection this morning at 12:01 a.m. at San Quentin Prison. Bonin was sentenced to die 13 years ago for the brutal murders of 14 boys and young men, between the ages of 12 and 18, during 1979 and 1980 in Orange and Los Angeles counties. He was the first to be executed by lethal injection in California.
