I always find it interesting to see exactly what the administration finds to be important when it comes time for budget cuts.

Promoting peace on campus and throughout the world has long been a tradition of the University of La Verne. Last summer, ULV students had a chance to explore ideas of peace for one week by traveling to Barcelona, Spain, for the 2004 Parliament of the World’s Religions on July 7.

Run, run, run! As you breathlessly turn the back corner of Woody Hall, you halt to check the board of closed classes for next semester. Core 340 - closed. What about 310? Requires transportation and 15 hours outside of class. And 320? It is three units and you are already planning to enroll in 15. Should you pay $550 for a one-unit overload so you can graduate this spring? Sound familiar? For most students, it usually is. So you are probably wondering, "Why do we have to take these classes, anyway?"

The possibility of making changes to the general education requirements is expected to be a hot topic this year.

On March 22, while most University of La Verne students were checking their watches and hoping to get out of class a little early, a group of ULV juniors and seniors were packing up for a study and research trip to Oaxaca, Mexico.

For the next three years, the University of La Verne is planning to improve and enhance its image in several areas.
