College Connections was organized by the University of La Verne Honors program. A one-month program during January interterm, it is designed to inform more than 100 fourth and fifth graders in the Azusa Unified School District about college.
University of La Verne students traveled to Costa Rica, Italy and South Africa during the January interterm and in doing so were able to satisfy certain course requirements by taking these trips.
Jacob Leveton said in his letter to the editor, regarding Core 320 and Core 340 that “staff members,” presumably in his business major, had told him that the science departments have been “very aggressive” in defending these interdisciplinary core classes, because they “don’t want to lose their jobs.”
