From hearing footsteps when no one is there to feeling cold sensations on a warm day, La Verne community members stay they still sense the University’s haunted history. Specifically some refer to ghosts of Evelyn Marshalt, David Glassa and Jim Henderson – whose ghosts they swear still linger.
Local legends of ULV’s past have been passed down from one curious student to the next. Everything from hearing eerie noises, seeing ghostly figures, and cold creepy feelings – similar to walking through the bottom floor of Founders Hall.
Despite constant progression toward bigger and better things, the past has a tendency to linger; carrying on through urban legends passed down from one thrill-hungry student to the next.
The setting: dark hallways and creaky wood floors. Sprawling ivy darkens the windows and you find yourself all alone.
Call it a trick of the eye, or an urban legend, but, as Halloween approaches, many around campus are testifying to paranormal happenings.
