After nearly two years serving as interim president, Risa Dickson was officially named 20th president of the University of La Verne earlier this month. 

Located at 2157 Second Street in La Verne, the Jaeger House Museum is a resource that students can access for free. 

Anne Collier, curator for the University’s Cultural and Natural History Collections, delivered a presentation titled “Mapping a Cultural Geography from the Archaeological Stone Tool Collections in the Cultural & Natural History Collections,” Tuesday before University community members in the Quay Davis Executive Boardroom and on Zoom.

The Cultural and Natural History Collections of the University of La Verne received a glimpse of Jewish life and culture pre-World War II through 14 folk-art sculptures, donated by the Malgert Halpern and Irving Cohen family. 

The University’s Cultural and Natural History Collections is what curator Anne Collier refers to as “a hidden gem.”

The Jaeger House, at Second and E streets is the University of La Verne’s very own historical research museum.
