Cheering could be heard last Friday morning from the gym upstairs in the Supertents, but it was not from University of La Verne students. Instead it was from elementary school students visiting the campus.
Thanksgiving weekend is just around the corner. For many University of La Verne students, this is the first holiday of the year when they get to go home. For others, it is just a time to relax, catch up on homework and spend time with their loved ones. Most importantly, it is a time to give thanks.
In San Francisco there were four: Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig and Ronnie Lott. In La Verne there are four: Ryan Campuzano, Anthony Rice, Darren MacLellan and Sean Fenison. These four set the tone early for La Verne and the rest of the team followed, not missing a beat as La Verne rolled over Azusa Pacific University last Saturday, 47-7.
