Despite low turnout rates, the University of La Verne’s orientation on Sept. 2 and 3 was a success. Although 550 new students were expected, only 380 checked in.
The new students of the University of La Verne gathered August 28 in front of the Rock to participate in the 2001 "New Student Orientation," an introduction to college life that lasted through Sept. 2.
Beginning on Aug. 24 and continuing through Sept. 4, Student Orientation welcomed University of La Verne's newest class of 425 students with a week full of academic and social activities.
Nearly 400 incoming students arrived at the University of La Verne campus Saturday, Sept. 4, to kick off Orientation Weekend and the start of "new transitions."
Nerves were raw and emotions intense as the incoming class began to settle into their new-found homes at the University of La Verne, and began the long eventful weekend that lay ahead.
