The annual University of La Verne Scholarship Gala was held Saturday night in the Sheraton Suite and Conference Center at the Fairplex in Pomona. The night brought guests, alumni, students and faculty; with the message to help future generations have access to higher education at the University.
The University of La Verne hosted its 27th annual Scholarship Gala event Saturday outdoors on third street between Founders Hall and the Ludwick center, beneath a tent to protect guests from the evening’s light rain.
The University of La Verne's annual scholarship gala returned in-person this year, after COVID drove the event online for two years. The event on Saturday was outdoors on the main campus for the first time.
The University of La Verne took the annual Scholarship Gala – traditionally a black tie dinner event – to a virtual realm this year, and still raised $605,000 in donations for the scholarship fund, exceeding the goal of $100,000 for Saturday’s event.
