The women’s water polo season came to a close after falling to No.1 seeded Pomona-Pitzer, 9-8, in the semifinals of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship on April 26 at Haldeman Pool.
The Leopards went on the road to Haldeman Pool in Claremont Saturday to take on the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference leaders, Pomona-Pitzer, but came up just short, dropping the game to the Sagehens, 8-6.
The women’s water polo team was on the move this week, taking down Redlands at the La Verne Aquatic Center Saturday, 8-4, and Whittier on the road Wednesday, 10-8, to win five straight and move into a third place tie in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The women’s water polo team defeated the Chapman Panthers, 11-7, in their first and only matchup for the season.The Leopards now advance to 4-3 in conference, placing them comfortably in fourth in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The women’s water polo lost to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens 15-5, Saturday at the La Verne Aquatic Center.
