Restaurants on D Street in downtown La Verne have had to adapt to the current shelter in place orders, by offering take-out and delivery only options, some partnering with delivery franchises to keep their businesses running as they wait for the OK to open their doors once again.

Butter drenched meals at Davenport Dining Hall and Barbara’s Place turn vegan students away. They struggle daily to find meals that adhere to their dietary choices.

Finding affordable, healthy and convenient food can be difficult, but restaurants meet these criteria right here in La Verne, including Spooner’s, Lordsburg Taphouse and Grill, and Argo Mediterranean Grille.

Roughly 1,000 visitors from La Verne and surrounding communities came together for wine, live music and good vibes Saturday for the second Sip of La Verne Wine Walk.

The relatively new Asian-American restaurant in downtown La Verne, Spooners, has begun to catch on with the hungry stomachs of ULV and community members.

With a change in management came a change in name. The location that formerly housed Angel’s place, a Greek restaurant, now features Spooners.
