The first raindrops of the fall season arrived at the University of La Verne campus on Wednesday. While the rain grows stronger, criminology major Staci Saddoris walks south on C Street on her way to parking lot D to go home after class.
On Wednesday storm clouds blanketed La Verne, bringing rain and cold weather to Southern California. Within one week Southern California went from daytime highs exceeding 100 degrees to temperatures in the low-to-mid 60s.
North of the University of La Verne, high in the San Gabriel Mountains lies a large carved “L” built to be the highest university initial in the United States.
