Debate over wall alters mural project
Seniors Yasuyuki Nagasawa and Lisa Scott had planned on painting the 10- by 40-foot multicultural mural shown above on the new greenhouse wall as part of an independent study project. The wall, located across from Dailey Theatre, had been rebuilt this semester after drainage problems were found. A mural of a skyscape that was used as a meditative location for theater actors was torn down with it.
Department students win honors
Students from the University of La Verne Communications Department won a total of eight awards at the 47th Annual California Intercollegiate Press Association (CIPA) convention, held at San Diego State last weekend.
Symposium discusses diversity in murals
A mural symposium, sponsored by the University of the La Verne, is being held Monday, Feb. 27. The symposium, held 6-8 p.m. in La Fetra Auditorium, will feature four Los Angeles muralists.
New mural to capture diversity of human race

Nagasawa driven by artistic passion
Yasuyuki Nagasawa, known simply as Yasu in the University of La Verne community, plans on graduating this spring. After three years at ULV, the senior art major will finally get his degree.
