The great William Shakespeare’s words in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” were given new life last weekend when the ULV Theatre Department presented the play to a crowd who was eager to experience the cast’s creativity.
The University of La Verne Department of Theatre Arts presented the Spring Theatre Mini-Festival this week, submerging those who attend in a comedic drama complete with sobs and laughter.
For its first production of the new year, the Department of Theatre Arts has pulled out all the stops with its version of “The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charention under the direction of the Marquis de Sade.”
“The Unreasoning Mask,” a dramatic play by William A. Cook, professor of English, and D’Arcy Jones Cook was performed in Dailey Theatre last weekend by the Theatre Arts Department.
A myriad of men galloping around in stiletto heels, a tale of a transsexual, and an energetic and talented cast of more than 27 University of La Verne students prancing around in fishnets and thongs will soon be coming to a theater near you.
