Amazon Adventure

“A Bizarre and Beautiful Amazon” slide show/informational meeting is set for Friday, Sept. 16 at 4p.m. in the Campus Times Room in the Student Center for all persons interested in a two-week January Interterm boat trip up the Amazon River. Fall Convocation ‘94

Dr. Jonathan Reed, assistant professor of religion, will be the featured speaker. Dr. Reed will speak about “Three Challenges for (College) Life.” Convocation is scheduled to begin today at 11 a.m. in Founders Auditorium, with an All-School Picnic immediately following in the Quad.

Fasnacht Lectures

The Fall Fasnacht Lecture will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. in La Fetra Hall. Speaking will be Dr. Mary Evelyn Tucker, a professor from Bucknell University. Dr. Tucker will discuss “Educating Eco-logically.” For more information contact the office of Dr. John Gingrich at ext. 4188.

The Big Howdy

The 67th annual Los Angeles County Fair, “The Big Howdy” will open Sept. 9 and run through Oct. 2. For more information call (909) 623-3111. Admission tickets and all-day ride coupons can be purchased in the ASF office for $12 from 1 to 3 p.m. today.

Yearbook Portraits

Yearbook portraits will be taken during the following dates and times: tomorrow from 1 to 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 12th from 5 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, Sept. 14th from 4 to 6 p.m. Seniors will have portraits taken the same days.
