The Hip Hop School of Arts in Pomona is a unique space that features lessons on how to DJ, create modern street art, and dance in a variety of hip-hop styles. The school is located on the southwest corner of Garey Avenue and Holt Boulevard in Pomona. The school’s executive director Julio Cesar Rivas leads the new program, inaugurated Feb. 27. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, the American Museum of Ceramic Arts in Pomona hosted a Clay Date event, as part of their monthly family workshops, on Sunday. Families gathered around tables to create coiled clay vases with vibrant paper bouquets that were taken home for admiration.
