Summer is almost here and that means University of La Verne students will be racing around local businesses and companies looking for work to pay for school, rent or to finally have some extra cash in their pockets.
With beautiful dresses, ties, dress slacks and crowns, seniors Adrian Ferrera and Felirose Tamparong were crowned Homecoming king and queen before an excited crowd at the football game Saturday during halftime at Ortmayer Stadium.
The University of La Verne is celebrating its annual homecoming this week. The Campus Activities Board has coordinated a week filled with events for students and alumni, from bowling and ice cream socials to street parades.
The men and women’s track and field teams took the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference by storm as the women took first place honors and the men took fifth last weekend at Pomona-Pitzer.
The University of La Verne men’s and women’s track and field teams competed against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Pomona-Pitzer and Occidental on Saturday in Eagle Rock.
