The sounds of a mariachi band and the smell of carne asada filled Davenport Dining Hall Monday night, as University of La Verne students celebrated Cesar Chavez Day.
Decorations of streamers, balloons and colored fabric transformed Leo’s Den into a serene, calm place for students to relax before hitting the books for finals.
Despite its efforts, the University of La Verne women’s soccer team failed to gain a win last Thursday, with an upsetting 7-1 defeat against the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens.
