The University of La Verne men's volleyball team retained its No.1 ranking in Division III this past weekend when it emerged as the champion of the Molten Men's Classic held in the Supertents on March 8-9. The success continued as ULV defeated New York University and Concordia in encore matches played March 12 and13.
Last weekend, the men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the Biola Invitational Meet to exercise their abilities in preparation of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) meet on Oct. 17.
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California declared a water shortage emergency on April 27, and issued a one-day-a-week outdoor watering restriction for parts of Los Angeles, Ventura and San Bernardino counties, which is home to about 6 million southern Californians effective June 1.
The exhibition “Chicano Park Muralists in Pomona Con Safos,” which explores the history and roots of Chicano heritage through the art of 15 mural artists and two photographers from Chicano Park in San Diego, is on display now at the dA center in Pomona.
