To some people donating money is one way to show support for a worthy cause, but to 22,000 good samaritans and approximately 35 University of La Verne students and faculty, walking 10 kilometers last Sunday in the 11th annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles was their way of showing support for those suffering from the disease and aiding in continued research.

Over 18,000 walkers are anticipated to be "walking for life" in the 10th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 25.

The Teacher Education Program at the University of La Verne, with a long and honored tradition in teacher train­ing, continues to flourish. Designed for both elementary and secondary teach­ing certification by the State of California, the program consists of 28 units (each with fieldwork) and one semester of student teaching.
