The Registrar's Office has been working on new ways to improve the disgruntling process of pre-registration and has been trying to change the current process to a more efficient and reasonable one.

The university has seen the chaos evolved out of pre-registration and has taken measures to improve the quality of registering so that on Nov. 6, the process for students will be a smooth one.

Generally, there are two ways to measure retention: graduation and term to term. The most traditional way of measuring retention is graduation. It measures the number of students who began as freshman and matriculated through graduation.

I think that we, as students, are all too often ungrateful for the privileges and services we are offered here at La Verne, and we are too quick to criticize. The new pending pre-registration process is one of these services that is taken for granted.
