Give Blood and Give Life

The ULV blood drive will be on campus Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the President’s Dining Room.

All participants may enter a drawing to win a $500 shopping spree.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling Al Clark, associate vice president of academic affairs, at 909-973-0720.

Faculty Lecture Series

In the latest installment of the faculty lecture series, Adham Chehab, professor of business admini­stration, will speak about “Operating Performance of Companies Surrounding Seasoned Stock Issues.” The lecture begins at noon Tuesday in the President’s Dining Room.

Additionally, a faculty research day will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 6, in Wilson Library.

The next faculty lecture will be Juanda Daniel’s “Virtually Mature: Examining the Policy of Minor’s Incapacity to Contact Through Cyberscope” on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at noon in the President’s Dining Room.

January Egypt Trip

Sharon Davis, professor of sociology, and Kim Martin, professor of anthropology, are now forming a 13-day trip to Egypt for January interterm.

The trip is scheduled from Jan. 7 to Jan. 19.

The $3,500 cost includes round trip airfare to Cairo, a four night cruise, special attractions and hotel expenses.

WAVE Awards

LVTV-3 was awarded six national awards in the Western Access Video Excellence Awards, held in Denver, Colo., last week.

Winning productions include videos by alumnae Gina Sandoval and Len Ly, and faculty members Donald Pollock, Mike Laponis and Shane Rodrigues.
