With the outpouring of support for Muslims on social media, you would think that the overall anti-Muslim sentiment would not be as harsh, but hate crimes have already begun to dominate local media reports in North America and Europe in wake of the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris.

Approximately 30 people gathered at noon Sept. 11 around the rock, to honor the anniversary of 9/11 for the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and the Veteran Student Success’ September 11 Remembrance.

Mark Juergensmeyer, director of the Orfalea Center for Global and International Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara, spoke to the ULV community about the war on terror last Thursday in the Campus Center.
