The Columbia Scholastic Press Association awarded the Campus Times online publication for its excellence in content and design with a Gold Crown Award last month in the association’s annual contest.
If you have not logged on to the internet lately, you might want to check out the new Campus Times Web site at laverne.edu/campus-times. The site has been revamped, featuring a cleaner layout, a home-page slideshow and new reader interactivity features.
It’s funny how in a short amount of time, everything will be over. I know my college days have zoomed by me. Since the beginning of this year, I have loved every moment with my classmates, professors and friends I have had here at La Verne.
As the semester comes to an end, it is time for the communications department to unveil the fall 2008 Campus Times editor in chief, La Verne Magazine editor in chief and KULV program director.
The Campus Times was recently awarded the Gold Medal award for overall newspaper excellence by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association – for the 12th consecutive time.
In response to the article regarding the class evaluations (“Evals in need of examination,” Sept. 28), I agree that it is a rather tedious/long evaluation and really does not have pertinent questions to better evaluate the class.
